Language and independence are the two largest areas of concentration in this level.
Children expand both their understanding of language through demonstration and materials in the classroom as well as their spoken language as they increase their vocabulary and practice communicating with those around them. Practical life materials teach children how to take care of themselves and the world around them through skills learned and used every day. Skills, such as dusting, setting the table, dressing themselves and hanging up their coats, are practiced every moment of everyday. A patient and loving faculty help each child learn the necessary life skills to become a contributing member of our world.
