The ratios of this class are lower than in our traditional primary program, allowing the teacher and assistants more individualized time with each child on a daily basis. Life skills, such as toileting, caring for one's self, and caring for the environment and class pets, are continued to be taught and expanded upon in this level. The early primary sensorial, language and math materials are also taught in this level, allowing to still challenge academically each child at his/her own pace while meeting the other emotional and social needs of the child.
