In her spare time, Alexis advocates animal welfare and art education for children. She has received awards in juried art shows and her artwork is part of the permanent display at several local college campuses. Alexis is also a great advocate of local museums and galleries and encourages parents (she has two children) to introduce their children to the wealth of cultural opportunities available in the area.
