Nurturing the Elementary Child's Place in the World
That’s the idea behind everything we do in this environment.
Self-assessment is one of the most critical skills they’ll need. True self-assessment originates in active awareness. It is not merely knowing what you should be doing more or less of. It is about being aware of yourself, the world around you and how you fit into it. More than 100 years of Montessori has shown us that the elementary child is at the doorstep of a much larger and more complex world. That door closes the moment they walk through it and each child can only bring what they learned on the other side.
